Galway players Sean Kelly and Matthew Tierney made a surprise visit to us this week to present a couple of special gifts to a big supporter of theirs, Bernard Keaney. Thanks to Johnny Coyne for helping to organise it.
The pair thus came on a surprise visit, bringing with them two signed jerseys which they presented to a delighted Bernard. They also brought in the Connacht Trophy that they won recently and the children had a chance to hold it aloft. Seán and Matthew posed for pictures and answered lots of questions from the pupils before they led a training session for everyone. It was a day that none of the children will ever forget and we can confirm that Bernard, a handy footballer himself, scored a superb goal past Matthew Tierney to cap off a great day!
